WBM+ is a proposal for a different life in the city. The project consists of a network of buildings. Rooms are built in vacant lots and on roofs that can be used and shared collectively by residents of the neighbourhood and new residents. These rooms can be reserved and booked via an app called WBM+. Residents whose average private living space is no larger than 30m2 / person may use these additional rooms free of charge. If their private living space is larger, they can reduce it by moving into smaller flats, converting their flat or sharing their flat with a flatmate.
In this way, residents pay less rent and at the same time get new extra rooms, such as kitchens, work rooms, saunas, guest rooms, terraces, children's rooms and much more. The reduction of private, single-occupancy living space also creates new living space in the city centre without the need for new construction.
